BusyBees privacy policy
Plain English: what the BusyBees app collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. BusyBees is a parent-facing app, used by adults, that gives AI-generated, screen-free play ideas for children.
Who we are. BusyBees is made by YektaD, a trading name of Y & A Design Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 08931578), London, UK. Questions or data requests: contact@yektad.com. Last updated 14 September 2026.
BusyBees is directed at parents and guardians, not at children, and is not in Apple’s Kids Category. We do not sell personal data.
1. Data we collect and why
| Data | Why we collect it | Used to track? |
|---|---|---|
| Children’s first names and ages (for example “Mia, 4”), entered by the parent | To personalise age-appropriate game suggestions | No |
| Onboarding answers and preferences (play style, energy level, language) | To tailor game suggestions | No |
| Saved games and “played” history | To sync your saved games across your devices | No |
| Purchase data (subscription status, transaction ID) | To provide the subscription and restore purchases | No |
| Device identifier (Apple IDFA) | Measuring our ad performance and attributing installs and subscriptions to our ads | Yes |
| App activity and events (install, subscribe) | Measuring ad performance | Yes |
| Diagnostics (crash and error information) | Fixing bugs and improving stability | No |
“Used to track” means the data is linked with third-party data for advertising or measurement, and it happens only with your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. We do not collect precise location, contacts, browsing history or health data. Photos taken in the camera feature are analysed instantly and never stored.
2. Children’s data
Children’s names and ages are entered by the parent or guardian, optionally, and only to personalise activities. They are stored securely in your private profile, used only to generate suitable games, and are never used to advertise to children or sold. You can delete all child data at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my data, which removes it from the device and our servers. BusyBees is directed at parents, not children.
3. Tracking and advertising (App Tracking Transparency)
BusyBees shows Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. Tracking (using the advertising identifier for ad measurement via Meta / Facebook) happens only if you tap “Allow”. If you select “Ask App Not to Track”, we do not enable advertiser tracking and no identifier is used. The purpose is measuring how our own ads perform, for example which ad led to an install or subscription. We do not build advertising profiles of children.
4. Who we share data with
We use a small set of trusted service providers to run the app:
Supabase: secure database and storage for child profiles and saved games (our infrastructure). RevenueCat: manages subscriptions and purchase status; receives purchase data and the ad identifier for attribution. Meta / Facebook: receives app and purchase events and the advertising identifier, only with your tracking consent, to measure and optimise our ads. Anthropic (Claude): generates the game ideas from your filters and answers, in real time; requests are not stored by us, and names and photos are not logged. Google (Gemini): generates game illustrations from a text description of the scene, with no personal data. Apple: processes subscription payments. We do not sell personal data.
5. Where data is stored, and for how long
Child profiles, saved games and preferences are stored in your private account (Supabase) and cached on your device. They are kept until you delete them in the app or the account is removed. Purchase data is retained as needed for subscription management and accounting. Camera photos are processed transiently and never stored.
6. Accounts and sign-in
You may create an account with Sign in with Apple or Google to sync and protect your profiles and saved games. Sign-in is optional; without an account, your data is stored only on the device and is not backed up.
7. Your choices and rights
Delete everything: Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my data (device and servers). Turn off personalisation by name: a toggle in Privacy & Data. Tracking: control it through the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, or Settings → Privacy & Tracking on your device. For any request or question, email contact@yektad.com.
8. Regional notes
GDPR and UK GDPR. Our lawful bases are consent (for tracking and for optional child data) and contract (to provide the subscription). You can withdraw consent and request deletion at any time. COPPA and age-appropriate design. BusyBees is parent-directed; child data is entered by adults, kept to a minimum and deletable, and there is no behavioural advertising to children.

Common questions from parents
Does BusyBees collect data about my child?
Only what you choose to enter: a child's first name and age, so activities can be age-appropriate. It is stored in your private account, used only to generate suitable games, never sold, and never used to advertise to children. You can delete it any time in Settings, Privacy and Data, Delete my data.
Does BusyBees track my child for advertising?
No. We never build advertising profiles of children. The only tracking is measuring how our own ads perform, using Apple's advertising identifier, and it happens only if you tap Allow on Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Choose Ask App Not to Track and no identifier is used.
Are the photos my camera takes stored anywhere?
No. Photos in the camera feature are analysed instantly to suggest play ideas and are never stored or logged, and they are not kept by the AI providers that process them.
How do I delete everything BusyBees holds about us?
Go to Settings, Privacy and Data, Delete my data. That removes it from your device and from our servers. You can also turn off name personalisation, and control tracking from the iOS prompt or your device settings.
Who else can see the data?
Only the service providers that run the app: Supabase (secure storage), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Meta (ad measurement, only with your tracking consent), Anthropic and Google (generating game ideas and illustrations, not stored), and Apple (payments). We do not sell personal data.
