Custom Shopify theme development for brands that want to look like themselves
Most Shopify stores look like every other store on the same template. A custom theme is written for your brand, so your products are the star and nothing gets in the way of buying.
We build custom Shopify themes by hand in Liquid, Shopify’s own language, instead of dropping your store onto an off-the-shelf template. The result looks like your brand, loads fast, and is set up for SEO and AI search from the start. It is priced by scope after a call, and you own the code.
What a custom theme gives you
It looks like your brand
Layout, typography and details designed around your products, not around a template’s limits.
It is fast
Only the code your store needs. No pile of apps and no unused template features slowing it down.
It is built to be found
Clean structure and proper product data, so search engines and AI assistants understand what you sell.
It joins up with email
Set up with your email marketing and automated flows, so browsers become repeat buyers.
A real example
Martina London, a luxury resort-wear label, runs on a fully custom Shopify theme that we hand-coded in Liquid. We also did its SEO and AEO, email, brand positioning, LinkedIn and growth work. See the before and after on the Martina London case study.
How it works
We talk about what you sell, who it is for, and what is not working in your store today.
You get a fixed scope and price in writing before anything is built.
We design the theme around your brand and hand-code it, with SEO and AI-readable structure built in.
We launch it, and if you want, keep working on search, email and growth with you.
What it costs
Custom Shopify themes are quoted by scope after a call, because a ten-product label and a large catalogue are very different jobs. The price is agreed in writing before we start, and the theme code is yours once the final invoice is paid.
Questions, answered
Is a custom theme better than a Shopify template?
For a brand that cares how it looks, usually yes. A template is a fine place to start. A custom theme pays off when your store looks like everyone else’s, or when it is slow and held together by apps.
Do you only build on Shopify?
For online stores we usually recommend Shopify. If a bespoke store is a better fit for you, we will say so on the call.
How much does it cost?
It is quoted by scope after a call and agreed in writing before we start.
Will I own the theme?
Yes. Once the final invoice is paid, the theme code is yours.
Will a website on its own bring in more sales?
On its own, rarely. A website is one part of the outcome you actually want, which is more enquiries, sales and revenue. It also needs tracking so you can see what works, a way for people to find it, and follow-up so enquiries are not lost. We scope the whole outcome, not just the pages.
Can I run ads to my new website?
Yes, but only once tracking is in. Never send ad traffic to a site with no Meta pixel and no tags, because you cannot see who came, what they did or who to show it to next, so the money is wasted. Our guide to pixels before ads explains why, and our website and SEO pack includes the tracking.
