Terms and conditions

Who we are. YektaD is a trading name of Y & A Design Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 08931578, incorporated in 2014. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices. Questions: contact@yektad.com.

Prices and payment. All prices are in pounds sterling and paid by bank transfer. Projects are priced by scope, not per page, and the price is confirmed in writing before work starts. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. Larger builds are paid in stages set out in the contract; the website and SEO pack is paid in three parts: 50% to start and two further parts, normally one a month. Your site is connected to your domain and handed over the moment the final part is cleared, so paying sooner means going live sooner. Nothing goes live or is handed over until every invoice is cleared.

What is included, and what is not. The scope in your contract is what is included. Any third-party cost is yours and is never included in our price: domain names, hosting, API keys, developer accounts (for example an Apple Developer account), stock images, plugins and similar. If you would rather we run any of those under YektaD's own accounts, that is a monthly retainer agreed in the contract. Text, images and details for the site come from you; on request we can create on-brand images with AI, agreed per project. Sites are built in code, kept in a private GitHub repository that becomes yours at handover, and hosted on Vercel or Netlify; changes after go-live are included on a retainer; without one, you own the code and can hand it to any developer, or we can add a CMS (a secure login, database and editor) so you can edit it yourself, quoted as an optional extra in the contract.

Delivery. A simple website is usually delivered in two to five working days from the day we have received everything we need from you. Timelines start when your content arrives, not when the contract is signed. We are not available at weekends.

Ownership. Everything we build for you belongs to you. The intellectual property transfers to you once every invoice and any outstanding third-party cost has been cleared; the work is then deployed to your domain and handed over. Until then it remains ours.

Retainers. The SEO and AI visibility plan and app maintenance are retainers with a minimum term of three months, paid monthly in advance. Twelve-month plans include a break clause at six months. Either side can end a retainer with thirty days' written notice. What a retainer includes is set out in the contract; new features or work outside that scope are quoted separately.

No guarantees. We do not guarantee search rankings, AI recommendations, traffic, leads or sales, and we will tell you plainly that nobody can. We do promise the work described in your contract, done properly, and honest reporting on what is happening.

Your client portal. Once the contract is signed electronically, it lives in your client portal at portal.yektad.com, together with the agreed scope and every invoice. Onboarding runs through the portal (content, access and details we need from you), and so does offboarding when a contract ends: everything is handed over cleanly, with your files, accounts and access.

Cancellation and changes. Retainers: thirty days' written notice. Fixed-price projects: work completed and third-party costs incurred up to the cancellation date are payable. Changes to scope are agreed in writing and priced before they are done.

Liability. Our liability for any project is limited to the amount you have paid us for that project. We are not liable for losses caused by third-party services, by content you supply, or by changes to Google, AI platforms or app stores outside our control.

Law. These terms and every contract are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
