Plain English: what we collect, the cookies we use, and how to control them.
Who we are. This website is operated by YektaD, a trading name of Y & A Design Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 08931578), London, UK. Questions? Email contact@yektad.com.
Cookies and analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Decline, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is tracked. By default, before you choose, analytics is switched off. We also use the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel to measure our advertising. It is not loaded at all until you click Accept; if you click Decline, or have not chosen, nothing is sent to Meta.
Changing your choice. You can change your decision at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings; the cookie banner will then appear again so you can choose afresh.
Translation. The optional language switcher uses Google Translate, which may set a cookie to remember the language you picked. It is only used if you choose a language.
If you contact us. If you email us, use the contact form on our homepage or book a call, we use the details you provide only to reply and, if we work together, to run the project. Form enquiries are sent to us by email through our email provider, Resend, and we send you an automatic confirmation. We keep an enquiry as long as we would keep any enquiry, and you can ask us to delete yours at contact@yektad.com. We do not sell your data or share it beyond what is needed to deliver our work.
Website assistant (Alex). The chat assistant on this site is powered by an AI model provided by Anthropic. What you type is sent to that provider to generate a reply and is not used to train its models. The chat tells you at the start that you are talking to an AI. When you close the chat, start over or leave the page, the conversation (what you and Alex wrote, the page you were on and the time) is emailed to us and read by the YektaD team so we can follow up properly and improve the assistant. We keep those emails as long as we would keep any enquiry, and you can ask us to delete yours at contact@yektad.com. When you close the chat you can rate it and ask for a copy by email; if you enter your email address there, we send you the transcript and may follow up once about what you discussed, and you can tell us to stop at any time by replying. If you leave contact details in the chat, they are used only to reply to you. The chat also keeps a copy in your own browser, which you can clear with "Start over". Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat.
Your rights. You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing contact@yektad.com. We respond promptly. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
